Sweaty!

Here's a new something I made for fun, because I just can NOT handle the summer heat. Between the dance studio and modeling agency in our building, I am pretty much 100% guaranteed to get to work sweaty and then ride the elevator with some poor lovely ladies, which also meant I got to practice drawing pretty gals!

Train Sketches

From my Thanksgiving travels, some train sketches for you. Things get loopy once you've sat in one place for about 9 hours.

Here's a self portrait, complete with some hastily scrawled notes for the next Toilet-face strip:

Happy Halloween!

My favorite part of Halloween is watching "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," so this year I decided to try and carve a Charlie Brown-o-lantern. It came out... okay! The pumpkin was a free giveaway, and proved to be an especially tough gourd to carve...

If I had done any better, I think it would've violated the spirit of the special. Think of this as my sheet with too many holes cut in it.

More painted stuff

This one is honestly pretty ugly but has a germ of something I like in it- a sort of flustery blowhard English prof kinda guy. Will possibly try to do an un-ugly version soon.

This dude is better but still not 100% (sloppy linework in spots, lots of empty dead space) but there you go.

I'm working on another painted piece right now that I've approached as more of a final, so I'll post that soon- as soon as I fix the giant screw-up I just made on it! Bleeeh!

Christmas cheer

It's that time of year where Vince Guaraldi starts loopin' in my iTunes over and over, so here's some paintings I did just for fun. Acrylic on construction paper, for that extra kiddie feelin'.

Holidays

Things slowed down a bit production-wise in the studio over the holidays, as such things are wont to do. While I polish a few things I'm finishing, take heart in all the wonderful fluffy pals we got to see this fine holiday season.

Usually I don't condone dressing up animals, but Boomer seemed both comfortable and dapper in his new sweater.

See if you can spot Murphy, master of creeping around.

Radar seems to fluctuate between slinky and plank of wood; here we see the latter.

AJ in a familiar state...

...and then giving it his all in an attempt at basic obedience.
